Boutique hotel chain Ace Hotel recently opened up a new location in Panama City called the American Trade Hotel.

The company’s seventh location is located in the historic Casco Viejo region in Panama City, which is described as “a hybrid of old Havana and New Orleans.”

The 50-room, five story hotel was created by design firm Commune and architect Hildegard Vasquez. It’s outfitted with the contemporary luxuries for modern travelers, while maintaining a sense of the local heritage culture. Inside is iconic Bertoia chairs and custom-made pieces inspired by vintage Mexican and French designs.

The hotel houses a rooftop pool deck, restaurants, a café and a jazz bar.
