Stephen Curry Earns First Three-Point Contest Crown

Stephen Curry beat out his Golden State Warriors teammate Klay Thompson and six others to win his first Three-Point Contest crown on Saturday night (Feb. 14).

The MVP frontrunner scored 27 points in the final round the competition, connecting on 13 consecutive shots to bring everybody at Brookyln's Barclays Center to their feet.

Although Thompson had an opening-round best of 24, he lost the hot hand, scoring only 14 points in the final round, while Cleveland's Kyrie Irving finished second with 17 points in the three-man final.

Kyle Korver, who is currently shooting a league-high 52.3 percent from beyond the arc, and defending champion Marco Belinelli (of San Antonio) didn't make it past the first round, scoring 18 each.
