Former 13-year NBA veteran Anthony Mason is “fighting for his life” after suffering a serious heart attack, reports ESPN.
He suffered a heart attack several days ago and has since had multiple surgeries at a New York hospital. “We’re just hoping for the best at this point,” a source told the network.

The 48-year-old was known for his big frame and rugged play. He, alongside Charles Oakley, Patrick Ewing and John Starks, led the Knicks to the NBA Finals in 1994. He also won the NBA’s Sixth Man Award in 1994-95.
