Back in 1991, a 6’1″ rookie guard named Dee Brown upset the favorite Shawn Kemp at the Slam Dunk Contest during NBA All-Star Weekend.

During three rounds, he played to the crowd, stopping to pump up his Reebok Pump sneakers before his dunk, which would become iconic. But, it was his one-handed no look dunk that sealed his victory.

Brown went on to have a long career in the league, but never blossomed into an star player. His Dunk Contest crown would be the highlight of his career… and a historic moment in the league.
