In a recently unearthed letter from the late Tupac Shakur, he confirmed plans for the mythical One Nation album, which would feature Outkast and E-40, among others.
OkayPlayer posted a scanned copy of the handwritten letter, dating back to 1996 and addressed to Big Lock… which is confirmed by The Roots’ Questlove.
“I’m doing a record now called ONE NATION it’s a group album with me, Greg Nice, Buckshot, Smiff & Wesson, OutKast, The Outlawz, Scarface &E40,” Pac writes. “It’ll be out in the late summer.”
Pac was working regularly with The Outlawz and Smif-N-Wesson during that period, but was never able to complete the project, due to his death.
Later in the letter, Pac touches on his success and beef with the late Notorious B.I.G.
“Az 4 me my record sold 5 million do I love it like that. I’m tearin B.I.G. a new ass!,” he wrote.
