Following a wild 2014, in which he finally dropped his debut album Oxymoron, which topped the Billboard 200, TDE’s ScHoolboy Q is back in the lab… prepping his sophomore effort.
In a tweet this week, the Los Angeles rapper let fans know the deal.
“Been in my cave gettin tHis album ready…….. Jus relax, da grooviest crip workin….. Bye,” ScHoolboy tweeted.
The update comes nearly one year after the long awaited release of Oxymoron.
Last summer, ScHoolboy told Billboard he had started “the beginning stages” of his follow-up.
“I just started recording but it’s the beginning stages right now,” said the rapper. “I just don’t want to rush nothing ’cause I done did this before with Oxymoron and the flow of things and I finished my album a long time ago but it just wasn’t ready to me.”
Details about the anticipated album were unknown at press time.
