Mavericks point guard Rajon Rondo is expected to miss a few games, after suffering an orbital fracture in his left eye as well as a nasal fracture.
The team made the announcement on Monday (Feb. 2), revealing that he will undergo further testing.
Rondo was injured during the Mavs’ win over the Orlando Magic on Saturday (Jan. 31), when he was accidently kneed in the face by teammate Richard Jefferson.
His status will be officially updated later this week.
“Hopefully, he has a quick and speedy recovery,” Jefferson said. “Luckily we have the All-Star break not far away, so hopefully that will give him some more time to get right. He’s a tough guy.”
