Manila, Philippines aims to rival Las Vegas and Macau, China as a global gambling destination with the opening of a new mega-casino, dubbed the City of Dreams.

The new resort, run by Macau-based casino operator Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd., is located on Manila Bay and features six olden towers surrounding a giant egg-shaped dome. The 6.2-hectare (15-acre) complex is the second of four mega resorts to open on reclaimed portions of the bay named Entertainment City, set to become a strip of casino -resorts.

City of Dreams Manila, with three luxury hotels and 380 gaming tables, has already created 5,000 jobs for the city.
