Noisey continues its latest series, dubbed “Welcome To The Trap,” which explores the subcultures that influence regional hip-hop movements.
Episode #3 focuses on Young Jeezy and Gucci Mane, who are credited for the start of the “Trap Music” sound. In it, veteran ATL manager Coach K talks about the origins of the music, while producer Zaytoven explain the explosion of the genre and eventual beef between Jeezy and Gucci.
