The issues between Birdman and Lil Wayne are escalating.
After the pair tried to come to an agreement, via their lawyers, talks have reportedly broken down… and now, Weezy is planning a lawsuit against his longtime boss and label, Cash Money Records.
According to TMZ.com, Lil Wayne is claiming that Birdman owes him $8 million… and refuses to release his album, Tha Carter V.
The rapper claims the label has breached their contract by withholding the release of his album, and wants a judge to declare his freedom from Cash Money and Birdman. He says the $8 million is only an advance for his new album.
So far, Birdman is standing his ground, saying he’ll release the album “in due time.”
