Ford recently invited BallerStatus.com to attend the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) as one of their special guests. The auto show, the largest in North America, is held annually in Detroit, Michigan and is regarded as one of the best in the world.
Ford came out strong with the announcement of the 2016 Ford GT, Shelby GT350R Mustang and the all-new F-150 Raptor. The three-part unveiling is part of Ford’s planned 15 new vehicle launch for 2015-2016. In addition to new models, the brand also presented their 2nd annual blogger initiative, a fully immersive environment for digital influencers and members of the press. Dubbed the “Blue Oval,” it featured renowned keynote speakers such as Snapchat COO Emily White, Ford President and CEO Mark Fields, and even a special announcement from Forza Motorsport and Xbox.
Executive Chairman and great-grandson of the late Henry Ford, William “Bill” Ford, Jr., took to the stage as the first keynote speakers where he discussed the brand’s ambition of thinking outside the box and braking the confines of how transportation is perceived in the automotive industry. “We’re entering a very brave new world. The winners will be innovators… (We’re) not just an automaker, but (aim to be) a mobility company through tech and innovation,” he said.
