After returning for season 5 this fall, The Walking Dead became a social media beast.
According to Nielsen, the popular zombie drama was by far the most tweeted about series of 2014 with 576,000 tweets per episode.
Coming behind The Walking Dead was Pretty Little Liars with 487,000 tweets, and then, Scandal in third with 391,000.
Overall, however, Super Bowl XLVIII had the most attention among anything else on television, drawing 25.32 million tweets, despite a lopsided matchup between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks.
As for non-sports specials, the Grammys beat out the Oscars with 13.77 million and 11.63 million tweets, respectively.
