Kool Moe Dee

The royalties of hip-hop legend Kool Moe Dee are currently being up for auction.

Via the service Royalty Exchange, a would-be buy could own 100% of the rapper’s BMI writers share for 135 titles, including the title track for Will Smith’s 1999 film “Wild Wild West,” “I Go To Work” from 2000’s Love and Basketball, and several others.

The starting price is $36,000, and as of press time, there were 12 bidders.

Kool Moe Dee is a hip-hop legend, who’s prominent years span from the late 1970s to the early 1990s. After parting ways with The Treacherous Three in the mid-1980s, he released his solo debut in 1986 before following with his platinum-selling sophomore effort, How Ya Like Me Now.

Longtime hip-hop fans probably remember Kool Moe Dee best for his iconic feud with LL Cool J.
