According to Drake's mom, Sandi Graham, Drake doesn't cry, but does have a "sensitive soul".

"It's not that you cry at all. I've never seen you cry on stage or even when the two of us are just together," she said in Christmas video Drake posted on Instagram. "They don't think you cry. They would imagine that you would be a person that would cry because you are a sensitive soul."

Sensitive Soul

Drake has been criticized for being "soft" since shooting to rap stardom, and is well aware of his sensitive image. "I'm just being me, and part of being me is being in touch with emotion," the rapper told the AP last year. "That's all I write about. If I didn't write about my emotions, I don't know what else I would write about. I'd make songs about generic things that nobody could relate to and I probably wouldn't be in this position that I'm in right now.

"I'm emotional, yeah, I guess. Let that be the worst thing in my life, please, not something like drug charges and God knows what else. I don't get myself in trouble, so if the negative feedback that I do get is the worst thing that's going to happen to me, then so be it", he added.

Drake's also called his mother "the most important person" in his life. "My mother is an incredible woman. She's brought me to this point single-handedly."
