The NFL handed out a $11K fine to Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch on Thursday (Dec. 25) for unsportsmanlike conduct for a touchdown celebration from their latest game.
The league said the 28-year-old made an obscene gesture while celebrating his career-long 79-yard run with a backward dive. Referees didn’t flag Lynch on the play.
Cardinals defensive tackle Frostee Rucker called Lynch’s move “childish” after the game but didn’t take offense to the gesture.
Lynch has 12 touchdowns and 1,246 yards this season.
