Rajon Rondo Traded To Dallas Mavericks

Following reports of talks between the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics, top point guard Rajon Rondo has been traded to the Mavs.

According to reports, Rondo will be dealt to Boston in exchange for Brandan Wright, Jae Crowder and Jameer Nelson to Boston and a pair of draft picks (2015 first rounder and 2016 second rounder).

Additionally, the Celtics will get a $12.9 million trade exception.

“My time in Boston has meant so much,” Rondo wrote on Twitter. “I’ve grown up with this city both as a basketball player and person. The love I have for the most loyal And supportive fans in the league is unmatched.

“I look forward to building something special in Dallas.”

Rondo joins a 19-8 Mavericks team, who currently sit at #6 in the competitive Western Conference, as well as a high-octane starting five that includes Dirk Nowitzki, Monta Ellis, Tyson Chandler and Chandler Parsons.
