Former rapper-turned-pastor, and then turned-rapper again Ma$e got a lot of flack this week, after he lost more than a million followers on Instagram.

The photo-sharing platform purged spam accounts from its 300 million user base this week, and users felt the effects with follower accounts sharply dropping… but no one probably got as much flack from it then former Bad Boy Records star, Ma$e.

The former pastor/rapper went from over 1.6 million followers to 272,000 in a matter of hours… prompting hate and jokes from the Internet. Unable to handle the slew of insults, Ma$e promptly deleted his account.

At press time, it’s unclear if he plans to return.

The embarrassing news follows last month’s embarrassing headline that he performed for less than 50 people during a show in London in November, after Fat Joe and Foxy Brown bailed.
