The reported deal that was close to being finalized is done. Rihanna has signed a deal with Puma, where she’ll serve as the athletic brand’s Creative Director.
According to WWD, the pop star will oversee the direction of Puma’s womenswear line, and help in the direction of the fitness and training lines, including both apparel and sneakers.
While the ink was still drying on the multi-year partnership, Rihanna has gotten right to work, flying to Puma’s headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany, this week to meet with the design team and pick out colors, styles, and discuss the line’s direction.
In a statement, Puma said Rihanna will work with the brand “to design and customize classic Puma styles as well as create new styles to add to the Puma product portfolio.”
Rihanna will also act as Puma’s global brand ambassador and star in their Fall 2015 ad campaign.
