After replying to Floyd Mayweather’s challenge this week, Manny Pacquiao took to Twitter to further respond on Tuesday morning (Dec. 16)… saying he’s ready to fight.
“@FloydMayweather, don’t be a boxing humbug. Let’s give the fans the fight they want. They have waited long enough,” the Filipino boxer tweeted.
The Mayweather-Pacquiao fight is one fans have demanded for the last several years, but any discussions always halted… and both camps moved on. However, following Pac-Man’s recent victory over Chris Algieri, he called out Floyd… who responded this past Friday (Dec. 12), challenging him to fight on May 2nd. “We are ready. Let’s make it happen. May 2. Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao. Let’s do it,” Mayweather said.
Whether the fight actually materializes remains to be seen.
Pacquiao is 57-5-2 (38 KOs), while Mayweather is 47-0 with 26 KOs.
