The back-n-forth between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao continues. Two days after Floyd said he’s ready to make the fight happen, the Filipino boxer responds.
Pac-Man says the pound-for-pound king has challenged him only because he has nowhere else to turn, before taunting him about his fighting style, which he said puts fans to sleep.
“He (Mayweather) has reached a dead end. He has nowhere to run but to fight me,” Pacquiao said, according to Sky Sports.
“I will try my best to make this a thrilling and entertaining fight, but I doubt if he’s gonna engage me in a slugfest,” he continued. “You all know his fighting style. Most of his previous fights, if not all, induced us to sleep.”
Talk of a long sought after superfight re-emerged again in late November, when Pacquiao called out Mayweather following his complete domination of Chris Algieri in China.
Floyd has been criticized by fans and critics for ducking Pacquiao over the years, but in his recent interview with Showtime, he said he wants to fight Manny… and wants to make it happen on May 2 next year.
Although it looks like fans may finally get the fight they’ve been asking for, popular sports columnist Skip Bayless warns that fans may not want to hold their breath.
Mayweather will keep SAYING wants Manny then make impossible demands because he's SCARED OF MANNY PACQUIAO.

Aside from Pacquiao, another fighter is seeking out Mayweather as their next opponent. That fight is Amir Khan. Hes coming off a convincing performance against Devon Alexander, taking a unanimous decision. He says he’s now earned a shot at Mayweather… and a big pay day.
“I have proven in the boxing world and in the 147-pound division how good Amir Khan is. I really belong with the top guys and it’s all about getting that big superfight,” he told Sky Sports. “I really believe I have the style to give Floyd the biggest problems. Floyd has never fought anyone as quick as me and someone who is quicker than him so, yeah, I definitely want the fight.”
