Keyshia Cole could face jail time for a DUI she got a decade ago, but got lost in the shuffle until her recent fight at Birdman’s Los Angeles condo.
According to TMZ.com, the singer appeared in a L.A. County courtroom this past week, trying to explain the very old arrest warrant, which was issued in 2004 because she failed to submit proof that she completed her alcohol ed class after a 2002 DUI conviction.
Cole’s lawyer tried to explain to that she had completed the course, but the judge was unmoved since there was no paperwork to prove it. So, the judge handed down a 30-day jail sentence, but said she could get off if she submits proof that she finished the classes.
A hearing is now set for February.
The warrant surfaced after Cole was arrested in September for assaulting a woman inside Birdman’s condo.
