A Memphis man has been charged with the theft of 7,500 pairs of Nike LeBron 12's, after driving off with a truck load of sneakers.

According to, Charles Jennings, an employee of cargo transportation company Intermodal Cartage Group, used his ID card to get into a secure lot and drive away with the cargo of LeBron James' latest signature shoe, worth approximately $1.5 million.

The incident took place in early November, but came to light this week when Jennings appeared in court... and is due back after the new year.

He's currently free on $75,000 bond.

Apparently, Jennings had been selling the shoes for about a week, but the Memphis Auto Cargo Task Force would catch up to him. Around 700 pairs were missing by then.
