Further details in the deaths of rapper Earl Hayes and wife Stephanie Moseley has surfaced.
The couple were found dead in their Los Angeles apartment on Monday (Dec. 8) in what police say is a murder-suicide — Hayes shooting Moseley before turning the gun on himself.
According to TMZ.com, the motive behind the shooting was jealousy.
Two years ago, the couple had separated, during which Moseley began seeing R&B singer Trey Songz. They would eventually reconicle, but Hayes was never able to get over his wife’s past relationship with the singer. “He was crushed and never got over it,” a source told TMZ.
After getting back together, Hayes accused Moseley — who was a successful dancer, working with A-list acts like Chris Brown and Usher — of cheating on him.
Things finally reached a boiling point this week, leading to the murder-suicide.
Trey Songz offered his condolenses on Twitter. “R.I.P babygirl. Once an angel on earth, now watching over us from Heaven. You’ll b missed but never forgotten. Love”
Chris Brown also dropped an “RIP” shoutout on IG, along with a photo of them together, but later deleted it. “RIP baby girl. Danced with me on tour and was always the coolest person.”
