Honus Wagner T206 baseball card

A 1909 Honus Wagner baseball card, considered the rarest and most valuable card ever, sold at auction recently, fetching $403,664.

SCP Auctions did not disclose the identity of the buyer or the seller of the T206 card. It's also unclear what the condition of the card was, which would drastically effect the value.

There's only a handful of the card that still exist, many of which are in poor shape.

In 2012, a VG-3 graded Honus Wagner card sold for $1.2 million.

Other cards sold off at SCP Auctions included a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie card, fetching $268,664; and a bat used by Jackie Robinson during 1949, when he was voted NL MVP, sold for $201,851. Also, an autographed game-worn home jersey from the Chicago Cubs' Ernie Banks sold for $151,652.
