Detroit rap vet Trick Trick may be enforcing his “No Fly Zone” policy on J. Cole.

Cole made headlines last week when a song titled “Fire Squad” hit the Internet… in which he takes aim at Macklemore, Iggy Azalea and Trick Trick longtime friend, Eminem.

On Instagram, a user posted a photo a recent Facebook status he made about the situation, questioning J. Cole’s motives. Trick commented on the photo, saying: “He ain’t poppin ‘Sh*t Sh*t’ is he????? I will lock the gate on that n*gga!” He later added that Cole was building “himself an ass Whippin.”

His “lock the gate” comment references an incident in June, where Trick Trick is rumored to have blocked Rick Ross from performing in Detroit under his “No Fly Zone” policy, in which he requires out-of-town rappers need to holler at an OG within the city before conducting business.

“Fire Squad” appears on J. Cole’s upcoming album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, which is due out Tuesday (Dec. 9).
