Nipsey Hussle announced his upcoming album this week, entitled Mailbox Money, which he says will be the “album before the album,” referring to his long-delayed Victory Lap.
In addition to unveiling the cover, the Los Angeles rapper revealed that it will be released on the same Proud 2 Pay scale as his 2013 mixtape, Crenshaw, which he sold 1,000 copies of at $100 a piece.
This time, Nipsey will release 100 copies of Mailbox Money for $1,000 each. It will also be released for free via iTunes.
The first leak off the project is a cut called “50 N*ggaz,” produced by Mike Keys and 1500 Or Nothin.
