Despite Lil Wayne going off on a tirade this week, saying he wants off Cash Money Records, his manager tells a different story.
The rapper took to Twitter on Thursday (Dec. 4), where he publicly declared that he wants off the label he’s been with since he was a teenager… and blamed Birdman for holding up the release of his Tha Carter V album.
Despite the rant, TMZ caught up with Weezy’s manager Cortez Bryant in West Hollywood the same evening… who acted like everything was fine.
“We good,” he said. “I’m smiling. I wouldn’t be out at the club right now.”
He also said Weezy has no plans to leave the label. “We good, we staying where we at.”
As for Tyga, Bryant acted as if the rapper never blasted the label either. “Tyga’s good too. That’s my brother.”
