Spotify recently revealed their year-end findings of what was most popular around the world. In the U.S., it was Iggy Azalea.
The Australian-born rapper broke onto the mainstream thanks to her smash hit, “Fancy,” which Spotify has listed as #1 on their list of most streamed songs.
Iggy isn’t on the list just once either. She has two in the top five — including Ariana Grande’s “Problem”, which she’s featured on. It sits at #4.
Thanks to the success of “Fancy”, Iggy’s album The New Classic shows up second in Spotify’s most streamed album in the US list for 2014, following Ed Sheeran’s unbeatable sophomore release X, which takes the number one place in America and the rest of the world.
Other songs on the top 5 include Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse,” Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” and John Legend’s “All of Me.”
