Despite being sued for allegedly taking $7,000 for a charity concert that never happened, Cuba Gooding Sr. says he’s just holding onto it in case it takes place in the future.
The 1970’s soul singer was sued by Reginald Lewis recently, who claims he paid him $7,000 to perform at a benefit concert at a Maryland children’s hospital. The concert never took place, and instead of returning the money, he kept it.
Despite the suit, Cuba tells TMZ that he and Lewis agreed that he keep the money and would do the concert at a later date, though there’s no time table of when it would happen.
Cuba further claims that Lewis is only suing to get publicity. However, he says he’s still willing to perform in 2015.
