Less than a month after Jay Sean announced his departure from Cash Money Records, a group of music producers are suing the label for $1 million over work on his 2009 album, All Or Nothing.
According to TMZ, the lawsuit filed by Orange Factory Music claimed to have produce seven songs on Sean’s All Or Nothing album — including the hit single, “Down” featuring Lil Wayne.
The producers say that they received their first check two years after producing the songs … for just $211,000. They say they did get royalty statements for hundreds of thousands of dollars, but never any further checks.
Orange Factory Music have named Cash Money Records in the suit, not Jay Sean.
