Clippers’ Blake Griffin Charged With Battery

Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin has been charged with one count of misdemeanor battery for an incident in a Las Vegas nightclub last month.

A filing in the Clark County District Attorney’s office this week says Griffin “wilfully and unlawfully used force or violence” on Oct. 19 on Daniel Schuman, squeezing Schuman’s hand and shoulder and/or slapping him on the face.

Initial reports said Griffin was upset by camera flashes in his face and grabbed Schuman’s phone, who wouldn’t let go because he says both his ID and credit card were attached to it. So, the NBA star grabbed his neck.

When security finally emerged, Daniel says Blake told them to “Get him the f*ck out of this club” before slapping him in the face.

Griffin is due in a Las Vegas courtroom for arraignment on Dec. 8. If convicted, he could face six months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.
