Tyga Announces Release Date For “The Gold Album”

In the wake of Tyga’s public fallout with YMCMB, the rapper announces a release date for his upcoming album, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty.

Via Twitter, he revealed the date: Dec. 23.

Despite the release date announcement, it’s unknown if the album will be released through Young Money or his own Last King imprint.

In October, Tyga shocks fans when he publicly put the YMCMB camp on blast over the release of The Gold Album, saying the label is “holding him hostage.” He also called out his labelmates Drake and Nicki Minaj.

Following the debacle, Birdman discussed the situation on Hot 97, saying Tyga is still signed… but has a decision to make. “Either you’re in or you’re out. If you’re out, you’re an outcast to me. If you’re in, we family,” he said. “You gotta choose your side, but I got nothing but respect for Tyga.”
