Chicago producer Young Chop, known for Chief Keef’s breakout hit “Don’t Like”, recently weighed in on the rapper being dropped by Interscope.
The producer tells Forbez DVD that he’s baffled as to why the label chose to drop Keef despite, because he fulfilled his contract.
According to Chop, the rapper’s debut album, Finally Rich, met the label’s sales requirements. “His album sold what the f*ck his requirement was supposed to be, so how did they drop him,” he said. “He sold 200,000… he recouped. I don’t know what the f*ck going on over there. Every single he put out did good and topped charts.”
Keef, however, doesn’t seem to be bothered by the situation. After news broke, he took to Twitter, expressing his excitement about the future.
“Laughing because to me I been Dropped. mfs ain’t help me Pay no Mf Bills,” he tweeted. “Ain’t sh*t gone stop Jus gets Better and bigger!”
