Tameka “Tiny” Harris appeared on Good Morning America this week to discuss a controversial surgery she recently underwent to permanently change her eye color.

The procedure is controversial because it’s illegal in the U.S., and had had to travel to Africa to have it done. When asked if she’s sending the wrong message to young women, Tiny responded: “I just wanted to do something different. And, I have the right to do that. It’s my body.”

While Tiny says her vision was not effected, some doctors said there are potential health risks. “These risks can be sight-threatening and can include glaucoma, cataract and corneal problems,” Dr. James C. Tsai told ABC News.

What does T.I. think? She says: “He loves them. He’s OK with it as long as I’m healthy and don’t have any problems.”
