With Apple’s leap into the fitness apps market via its HealthKit and Health and Fitness apps, Google rolls out its own for Android.
The app helps users track their own activity to help motivate to become more active. It uses sensors built into your Android phone to automatically detect walking, biking, running, and other exercises. It can also be set and monitor fitness goals based on your activity levels, which means not only can you work out how active you are, but you can also check progress as you work towards those goals.
Google Fit is available now on Google Play for use on devices running Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich and above.
