Following Apple’s acquisition of the Beats By Dre brand, the company unveils plays to relaunch its Beats Music service as part of iTunes in 2015.
According to the Wall Street Journal, sales on iTunes has been down and Apple hopes the Beats streaming service will boost revenue. Sales are reportedly down “13% to 14% world-wide since the start of the year.”
Beats Music launched in January as a competitor to popular streaming services like Spotify and Pandora. A subscription costs $9.99 per month.
