The Wu-Tang Clan are set to finally release their long awaited A Better Tomorrow album in December… and is looks like member Raekwon is set to follow immediately with a solo project.
In an interview with HipHopDX, the rap veteran said his next album will drop in the first quarter of 2015, explaining that he delayed his own project to push out the long awaited project from the group.
“For me to sit here and say, ‘This right now is important to the world to see the group reunite and make a great album together,’ I decided to stand for my brothers right now and push my album to the backburner,” Raekwon said. “My album will be coming out next year, in the Spring, you know, around March. I felt I did it for a great cause because this is the family. I had to do that. I feel good about it and I understand more the direction of where everybody wants to go. We happy. Like I said, you just getting great music at its finest right now.”
Further details about Rae’s next album were unknown at press time.
A Better Tomorrow, however, is due out Dec. 2., via Warner Bros. Records.
