Adidas outpaces their competition with their latest wearable-tech product, the Fit Smart. The fitness-focused device impresses right out of the box with a futuristic design that’s just as comfortable to wear as it is enjoyable to look at. It boasts convenient heart rate, pace, distance and stride monitors, providing for an accurate assessment of health and fitness goals.
Software & Performance
Adidas’ miCoach software provides an impressive compilation of workout statistics and features. The interface is intuitive and fairly easy to get a hang of, aided by visual zone guidance and vibration feedback.
Note, there is a possibility of incompatibility with older smartphones. Our first run with an older iPhone 4s proved unsuccessful. However, a quick switch to an iPhone 5s provided for seamless connectivity. With a bevy of great features, we most enjoyed using miCoach’s in-app goal settings, proving the device’s billing as a workout intensity coach correct.
With a slew of wearable fitness watches on the market, many don’t live up to expectations. adidas’s Fit Smart, however, is among one of the top fitness watches we’ve had the opportunity to test, undoubtedly aided by its miCoach integration.
Adidas Fit Smart can be purchased on the brand’s online store and at major fitness and electronics retailers nationwide.
