TIME magazine follows the list of its “100 Most Influential People of 2014” with a new list, breaking down the 25 most influential teens of 2014.

Most of the teens recognized are from either TV or music, including celebs like Kiernan Shipka of Mad Men, Rico Rodriguez of Modern Family and New Zealand songstress Lorde. However, we also see politically active teens — including Joshua Wong, who became a symbol of hope among the youth in Hong Kong’s recent protests; and Malala Yousafzai, who became the youngest-ever recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize — and social media stars like Nash Grier from VINE and Youtuber Bethany Mota.
