Nearly two months later, police have identified a suspect in the August shooting of Suge Knight in Hollywood, reports TMZ.com.
Authorities investigating the case made the find after reviewing security camera footage and speaking with witnesses. They say “they’re confident they’ve identified the suspect responsible.” However, they do not “have enough evidence to arrest the suspect.”
The shooting was initially thought to be gang-related, but the report doesn’t offer any further information about a motive.
Suge was shot six times at 1Oak nightclub — where Chris Brown was hosting a pre-VMAs party — during the early morning hours of Aug. 24. He was transported to nearby hospital where he underwent surgery and was eventually released to recover at home.
Not surprisingly, he hasn’t been very cooperative in the investigation.
“Even if I did, I don’t think that’s really important — who pulled the trigger and who I seen pull the trigger,” Suge previously told TMZ. “I’m doing extremely well. I’m happy to be doing well. Whatever happens, happens.”
