Hong Kong-based Wacaco recently unveiled its Minipresso, a hand-powered portable espresso machine promising the quality of a traditional machine.

The coffee maker measures in at just under seven-inches tall and weighs less than a pound, making it convenient for travel. Best of all, it doesn’t require compressed air, N2O cartridges or electricity to operate. To use it, you simply fill the canister with 2.5 ounces of water, pour a quarter-ounce of grounds into the designated capsule, seal it, and pump the built-in piston by hand. A single shot of espresso requires just 18 pumps, while a double requires 28.

The Minipresso is currently available for pre-order for $39 USD and expected to ship in early 2015. After, it will retail for $49 USD.
