In November, a new 5-star hotel/resort is opening in Beijing, China called the Sunrise Kempinski.
The resort is constructed in the shape of an orb, inspired by the shape of the rising sun. It sits on Yanqi Lake, which the company touts as “a new haven of tranquility and beauty,” and offers magnificent views of Yanshan Mountain and the Mutianyu Great Wall… and is one hour’s drive from Beijing City Centre.
Rooms are designed with a minimal and contemporary feel with hints of soft blue for a peaceful ambiance, while four different suites are available, the top being the Presidential Suite. It has two bedrooms and is furnished with a piano in the living room, a dining room and a spacious kitchen. The top suite also boasts a 24-hour butler service and a lake view.
Facilities include 306 guest rooms and suites, Kempsinki The Spa, recreational and fitness facilities, a Kid’s Club and an array of culinary offerings at its nine restaurants and bars. For business trips, it has meeting facilities spanning over 62,000 square feet, including a grand ballroom that accommodates 1,400 attendees in a theatre-style setting.
The grand opening is in November. For more info, visit the Sunrise Kempinski website.
