It’s that time. Every year, McDonald’s rolls out its annual Monopoly promotion, offering everything from a $1 million cash prize to free medium fries. But, what are the odds of actually winning?
As most know, you have to match all property pieces of each color to win, like both brown pieces (Mediterranean and Baltic Ave), all three yellow (Atlantic Ave, Ventnor Ave and Marvin Gardens), or the two blue properties (Park Place and Boardwalk).
Yahoo broke it down in a recent story that most game pieces are worthless, with one piece in each colored set being extremely rare. So, you may be able to easily get a Baltic Ave, but finding Mediterranean Ave is much harder — 1 in 30 million to be exact for that specific game piece.
Below is the breakdown, so don’t trade em if you get one of these, because you’re likely to win. Click here for the full rules.
BROWN: Mediterranean Ave, odds 1 in 30 million wins $1,000.
LIGHT BLUE: Vermont Ave, odds 1 in 40 million, wins $5,000.
