29-year-old NBA big man Darko Milicic is finally hanging it up to become a kickboxer.
He was drafted in 2003 by the Detroit Pistons with the second overall pick, coming after LeBron James and before superstars like before Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Despite his potential, he never saw much success in the league, becoming yet another NBA Draft bust.
After nine seasons, and stints with multiple teams, Milicic is calling it quits, signing a contract to become a pro kickboxer, reports NBASerbia.com.
It’s unclear, however, when Milicic will have his first professional fight.
