LeBron James sat down for a rare interview with CNN this week, where he discussed his return to Cleveland, reconciling with Cavs owner Dan Gilbert, and losing in the off-season.
Below are quotes from the interview:
On his return: “I had dreams of going back home, but I thought it was happen a lot later on in my career. Going back, having a couple more years left in my career, and kinda finishing it off that way. But, I didn’t think it would happen this soon.”
On talk with Dan Gilbert: It was a straight-forward conversation, no beating around the bush. He basically said, “No matter what decision you make, we wanted to clear the air to where we can– if we see each other in public, we can always shake each other’s hand and look at the fun times we had in Cleveland when we were together.”
On his diet: I lost a few pounds. I haven’t been in this weight class (laughs). I’m in the 250-ish range, a lot lighter than I’ve been playing at for the last few years. I feel good. 67 days. I’ll tell ya what I couldn’t have: no carbs, no sugar, no diary, no refined sugar… no nothing. Meat, fish, veggies, fruit — that’s it.
