Ray Rice seems to be losing it all. After being cut by the Baltimore Ravens and suspended by the NFL indefinitely, Nike has severed its endorsement deal with the NFL running back, while EA Sports has pulled him from "Madden NFL 15."

The news follows the release of a video, released by TMZ, showing the NFL pro striking his then-fiance (now wife) inside an elevator at an Atlantic City casino.

A Nike spokesperson confirmed the news to ESPN on Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 9).

EA said Rice would be removed from the Madden roster through an online update, because they game as already been released. "With Ray Rice's indefinite suspension from the NFL, he will be removed from 'Madden NFL 15,'" EA Sports communications director Julie Foster said. "This roster change will take place by this Friday."

Despite the incident, Rice's wife Janay Rice has defended her husband and criticized the media.

"I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I'm mourning the death of my closest friend," she wrote in an Instagram post. "But to have to accept the fact that it's reality is a nightmare itself. No one knows the pain that the media & unwanted [opinions] from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret everyday is a horrible thing.

"To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass off for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific. THIS IS OUR LIFE! What don't you all get. If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you've succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is! Ravensnation we love you!"
