Mazda introduced this week the 2016 version of the MX-5 Miata, its fourth generation.

The latest model is lighter, weighing 220 pounds less than the former version, while also featuring the lowest-ever center of gravity in the series. Further details are still relatively unknown, however, Mazda has confirmed a “specially tuned SKYACTIV-G petrol engines and the first rear-wheel drive version of the SKYACTIV-Chassis.” Rumors point to a 2.0-liter inline four, and possibly, in markets like Europe, an entry-level 1.5-liter.
