New York rap newcomer Bobby Shmurda was popped for a gun charge back in June, which could send him in prison for an extended period, reports TMZ.
The young rapper, who enjoyed success in the past few months for his single “Hot N*gga,” was arrested in the Brownsville area of Brooklyn on June 3. Cops say they spotted Shmurda showing off the weapon in an apartment and when they went to investigate, he tried to hide it in a couch.
They eventually recovered a 9mm Glock pistol, and a loaded 14-round magazine.
Bobby was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon, and could face 15 years in prison.
He made headlines this week, when shots were fired in the parking lot of a nightclub appearance in New Jersey. Fortunately, no one was injured.
