On the heels of the release of his latest project, The King of Everything Else, Boston rap vet Slaine sits down to talk about collaborations with some of his favorite people.

Specifically, he talks about meeting and working with Tech N9ne; why he and Madchild works together so well, and why he’s an important artist to him; and finally, his longtime work with DJ Lethal.

On collaborating: “With this album, I feel like it was cool to do a lot of collaborations, because I had built all these relationships in the game, over the years, which has given me a lot of really great friendships with super talented people. With this album, I wanted to work with all these people who I like to work with so much. To me, the collaboration process is at the heart of why I like to make music so much.”

The King of Everything Else is available now on iTunes.
