EDM continues its rise in today’s music scene, producing a number of money-generating DJs with Calvin Harris leading the way. The Scottish producer has had such a year that he tops Forbes’ 2014 list of Highest-Paid DJs with estimated earnings of $66 million.
Harris staked up his bank account by playing more than 125 gigs, and producing tracks for the likes of Rihanna and Kesha, which has helped him land headline gigs like Coachella. He also has multi-deal to play regularly at Las Vegas’ Hakkasan nightclub.
At a distant second is David Guetta with $30 million, while Avicii and Tiesto tie for third with $28 million, and Steve Aoki closes out the top 5 with $23 million.
